![]() After tons of research I was able to find a monitor tool and determine that it was the laptop battery service - which I didn't need even remotely since I was always on the wall power and the laptop didn't even have a battery inside it! ![]() Several years ago I was trying to tune my laptop for low latency audio stuff, something was causing severe spikes. And it's not always obvious what process/service is causing issues. The main thing here is that what these processes are will depend on each system, some will have controls panels for sound/video and some won't, some will have a crapton of stuff that loads on startup that's not used the vast majority of the time. ![]() Windows, especially on laptops, is very bloated, there are dozens of processes and services you can kill without any issues. ![]() I think these programs can be useful, it's just that usually they're not made for that, they're made as products, so the goal is to sell, not to improve your experience. ![]()
